Diamond Painting special stones - Aurora Borealis

Aurora Borealis stones, or AB stones for short, are a fascinating addition to Diamond Paintings. These special stones, which derive their name from the impressive northern lights, the Aurora Borealis, have an additional fine coating on the top that makes them shimmer in various iridescent colors. This gives the finished work of art an enchanting shimmer and a magical atmosphere. The special thing about the Aurora Borealis coating is that the colors change between delicate pastel shades and intense, luminous nuances depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle. The use of AB diamonds adds dimension and depth to the images by catching the light and reflecting it in a spectrum of dazzling colors. Whether still lifes, portraits or cute creatures, the shimmering effects of the stones add a special magic to the overall picture. The desired highlight effect is achieved through the deliberate selection of suitable AB colors and the well thought-out and hand-placed placement of the individual stones in our Diamond Painting pictures. The fact that the normal DMC colors are not fully replaced in Carat Art pictures, but the ABs are deliberately used according to the motto "less is more", creates a unique overall work of art with sparkling details that bring the works of art to life. At Carat Art, Aurora Borealis diamonds are marked with their DMC color and the abbreviation "AB" on the legend and the corresponding stickers.

Diamond Painting special stones - Crystals

Thanks to their glass effect, rhinestones, also known as crystals, glitter and sparkle even more than normal Diamond Painting stones. Our Crystal stones are made of transparent colored resin that looks like glass. The underside of these stones is coated with silver foil to give them the reflective and shiny effect of diamonds. In addition, this underside ensures that the stones are not transparent and therefore the symbols on the canvas cannot shine through. Their glass-like transparency makes them look like small cut gemstones or crystals, from which the name Crystals is derived. In general, they refract light differently, as the silver layer shines through the transparent colored resin layer of the stones and Crystals therefore have a different radiance than conventional Diamond Painting stones. Their brilliant sparkle is strikingly different and their glass-like transparency gives them a very special effect. Crystals can therefore be used to create unusual accents and are perfect for all materials that are to look glassy, watery or glittery. We all like it when it sparkles and glitters, which is why this stone variant is a great addition to many Diamond Painting motifs. However, as with ABs, it is important to use crystals deliberately and appropriately. At Carat Art, Crystal Diamonds are marked with the abbreviation ""LZ"" on the legend and the matching stickers and listed in combination with their DMC number.

Diamond Painting special stones - Metallics

Metallic stones, as the name suggests, have a metallic appearance due to their unique coating. They are not only available in classic metallic colors such as silver or gold, but also in many other fascinating shades. The variety of available color variations opens up countless creative application possibilities. This means that metallic stones on Carat Art Collection pictures can be used not only to create shiny highlights in classic metallic tones, but also in other shiny metallic color nuances that give every work of art an individual touch. The shiny metallic surface of these stones catches the light in a special way, making them stand out in every picture and creating unique highlights. Metallic stones are also set individually and by hand at Carat Art, so that they are deliberately used where a metallic shimmer makes sense and is effective. At Carat Art, these metallic colors are marked with the abbreviation "JS" on the legend and the corresponding stickers, and since the coating of almost all colors is completely different from their actual base color, they are not indicated with the DMC number, but numbered consecutively.

Diamond Painting special stones - Glow in the Dark

Some Carat Art motifs are also available with glow-in-the-dark stones. These are also known as "Glow in the Dark" stones. These noctilucent Diamond Painting stones have a phosphorescent coating on their stone surface that makes them glow in the dark. Diamonds with a "glow in the dark" effect can be used to highlight parts of a motif, which can then be seen in the dark. In normal light, these stones are usually quite inconspicuous and are available in many different colors. In addition to their special glow-in-the-dark effect, the glow stones in Carat Art Diamond Painting Sets have a matt opaque surface during the day, so that they appear slightly translucent or semi-transparent in color. In addition, the light colors glow in strong neon colors, so that they also have an extraordinary effect in the light. In order for noctilucent stones to glow in the dark, they must first be "charged" with light. To do this, it is sufficient to expose them to bright daylight or illuminate them with a lamp for a while. Phosphorescent diamonds can be used both selectively and on larger surfaces. Both variants create particularly beautiful effects when the motif is viewed in the dark. At Carat Art, "Glow in the Dark" stones are marked with the abbreviation "YG" on the legend and the matching stickers and, like the metallic stones, are also numbered consecutively, as they do not correspond to a specific DMC color.

Diamond Painting special stones - Sparkle Dust

Like all our diamond stones, Sparkle Dust diamonds are made of synthetic resin. They are covered with a shimmering coating that catches and gently reflects the light. The fine glittering coating of these special stones looks like sparkling glitter dust, which is also what their name refers to. The mesmerizing shimmering effect that Sparkle Dust stones create adds a touch of magic and that little bit of extra sparkle to Carat Art images. In contrast to AB stones, they do not shine iridescently in different colors, but somewhat more discreetly and only in their own color nuance. Their enchanting sparkle is therefore rather restrained and yet extremely charming and enchanting. With their mother-of-pearl-like glitter particle coating, they create glittering accents and stand out unobtrusively from normal Diamond Painting stones, making these special stones perfect for more extensive use. Our Sparkle Dust colors are also selected specifically and appropriately to perfectly round off the overall result of each picture. They are a great addition to other, more striking special stones and also go well with motifs where ABs or metallic stones, for example, would be too much of a good thing. Sparkle Dust diamonds are listed by Carat Art with their DMC number and with the abbreviation ""ND"" on the legend and the corresponding stickers.
